L’histoire du Cognac DUQUAI
Sverre Braastad, le grand père de Philippe, de nationalité Norvégienne est venu en Charente (Cognac), où il a développé la maison de cognac Tiffon Médéric et a prospéré sur les marchés d’Europe du Nord.
Sa famille est liée à la réputation de Delamain et Boutelleau, et également à Courvoisier.
Pendant plus de 25 ans, Philippe Braastad – Tiffon a travaillé dans l’entreprise familiale. Il a également contribué au lancement de la marque Braastad (qui est aujourd’hui la 2eme marque de Cognac la plus consommé en Norvège)
Philippe Braastad Tiffon, suite à cela, a décidé de créer sa société le Cognac DUQUAI à Jarnac en 1999, il en est le seul actionnaire.
Le Cognac DUQUAI est disponible en deux qualités principales : DUQUAI VSOP et DUQUAI XO. Il propose également ponctuellement d’autre Cognacs DUQUAI ayant été vieillit plus longtemps, comme les 600 bouteilles de Grande Champagne Cognac DUQUAI 1965 qui ont été commercialisées, ainsi qu’une Grande Champagne 1969. Deux fûts de Grande champagne 1999, deux en 2000 et deux fûts en 2001 sont également entreposés à Liverpool (Angleterre). Ils ont été expédiés là-bas en tant que « Early Landed » la spécialité des maisons de Jarnac.

The history of cognac DUQUAI
Sverre Braastad, the grandfather of Philip, of Norwegian nationality came in Charente (Cognac), where he developed the cognac house Tiffon Mederic and flourished on the northern European markets.
His family is linked to the reputation of Delamain and Boutelleau, and also to Courvoisier.
For more than 25 years, Philippe Braastad – Tiffon worked in the family business. He also helped launch the brand Braastad (which is now the 2nd most conssumed brand in Norway)
Philippe Braastad Tiffon, following this, decided to create his own company, Cognac DUQUAI whose Philippe is the only shareholder in 1999.
Duquai Cognac is available in two qualities: Duquai VSOP and XO Duquai. It also provides timely other offers, such as 600 bottles of Cognac Grande Champagne Duquai 1965 that were sold, or a Grande Champagne 1969. Two barrels of Grande Champagne 1999, two in 2000 and two in 2001 barrels are stored at Liverpool (England). They were sent there as « early landed » the specialty of the houses in Jarnac.
